The COVID-19 pandemic came upon us during Lent of 2020, and compelled us to give up a great deal more than chocolate. We found ourselves in the wilderness, in unfamiliar territory, bereft of many of our usual ways. It was a bit like starving.
The gospels include a story of Jesus spending 40 days in the wilderness, hungry and alone, tempted by the devil. Matthew’s and Luke’s temptation stories tell us how Jesus resisted the temptations and pulled through.
The pandemic brought similar temptations our way. In this brief course, we’ll explore those and leave equipped to rise above them in these uncertain times.
This course is eligible for 0.5 CEU.
