The four courses leading to certification in church administration are intended to cover crucial leadership topics that may have not been covered in seminary. Exploring administration, management, and finances, each course builds on the course that precedes it.
The second course, “Theological Reflection: Church as Business and Mission,” uses a theological standpoint to explore what it means to be a church as a business while being in mission.
Students are required to have three books for this class:
- Our Purpose is Love: the Wesleyan Way to be the Church by David N. Field
- The Soul of a Leader: Finding Your Path to Success and Fulfillment by Margaret Benefiel
- Church Meetings that Matter by Philip A. Anderson
This is the second course in the Institute for Discipleship certification in Church Administration. “Church Leadership and the Bible” is a prerequisite.
You will need a password to register as a proof of prerequisites.
This course is eligible for 3.0 CEU.
