Shannon is a visual artist, theologian, and arts administrator. She graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2007 with a degree in Theology and the Visual Arts; and from Boston University in 2011 with a Masters in Arts Administration. Shannon’s art and research center around a Wesleyan paradigm for the visual arts, as well as explorations in Christian vocation and family life. Shannon grew up in the Methodist Church and currently attends First United Methodist Church, Winfield, KS. She is married to Matthew Sigler, a Ph.D. candidate in Liturgical Studies at Boston University, and has a son, Elijah. Shannon currently serves as the Visual Arts Editor for Imaginatio et Ratio: A Journal of Theology and the Arts (imaginatioetratio.org). She previously worked as Associate Director for CIVA | Christians in the Visual Arts (civa.org) as well as the Seminarius Arts Director at Asbury Seminary.
