IFD203 – Creating Interactive Online Groups
Course Dates: Check Back Soon
This is a five-day beginners’ overview of setting up an online Bible or book study for your church. Participants will explore using new live streaming media apps such as ZOOM, BlueJeans, and Facebook Live to create interactive groups that meet and study together online. Participants will first explore the apps, and then will learn how to set up each application for group participation. Students should come prepared with a Bible or book study in mind to practice creating.
This class is highly interactive. There will be daily reading and discussion questions, and participants should plan to spend at least one hour a day in reading and discussion plus whatever research time they chose to invest in their idea.
PLEASE NOTE: Daily sessions will be planned utilizing the different apps either at 3PM Pacific Time (6PM Eastern) and 6PM Pacific Time (9PM Eastern) on Tuesday, January 17, and Thursday, January 19.
Items you will require: You will need to provide your own devices for this class — both a computer with Chrome browser installed, and a smart phone/tablet with a data plan or connection to WiFi. Participants should also have a Facebook account, as there will be a private Facebook group in which additional resources will be shared. As a bonus, you will continue to be a member of this Facebook group after the completion of this class, and the instructor will continue posting resources to keep you informed of new technology!
